Workshop: Introduction to BAUSTEIN – A Tool for Configuring and Representing Design Research
This workshop gives an introduction to the design tool ‘Baustein’. Given the increasing complexity of design research, Baustein supports design research teams in configuring their design activities and representing them faithfully. Baustein consists of 14 cards clustered into four modules, five configurations, and a manual. Its design is based on empirical evidence and a literature analysis of published design research projects as well as demonstrated through different evaluation episodes, altogether involving over 110 design researchers.
